For over 50 years, TOKICO LTD.,
has been manufacturing shock absorbers, brake
parts, and other hydraulics. The TOKICO Company
has been and continues to be a major original
equipment supplier to a variety of auto manufacturers.
TOKICO developed the twin-tube low-pressure gas
shock absorber as a response to auto manufacturers'
demands for a shock that could provide both good
stability and good ride quality. In the mid 1970's,
TOKICO began working on this technology. Much
of the TOKICO shock and strut technology has been
adopted world-wide since 1971.
A 1982 Lincoln Continental was
the first U.S. built vehicle using twin-lube low-pressure
gas shock absorbers. TOKICO designed and supplied
those shocks and struts. TOKICO is a long time
leader in electronic shock absorbers and suspension
products.
