Regardless of your particular choice of lifter design (hydraulic, solid, hydraulic roller or solid roller), Lunati Cams always recommends the use of new lifters when installing a new camshaft. When utilizing a hydraulic or solid lift flat tappet cam, Lunati recommends following all break in procedures outlined in our installation instruction sheet (part # INST150) due to the nature of today's aggressive Camshaft designs.
